Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but the book "Site Engineering" by Steven Strom is a great reference for site issues. Link below:

Good Luck!

Thanx Tyson. This book is good because in site designing one has to encounter the various site conditions and understand how to deal with them. So it should form part of a larger portfolio on site design.Thank you for the suggestion. I found the content great and rich and have to order from amazon.

What I was trying to find out is much more connected to  architectural aspect of positioning the buildings on site in relation to landscape in both small and large scale projects, not necessarily on sloping sites. Specifically, architectural design ideas and concepts.

Hope you will help.
