What do you think about mughal architecture (Sub-continent) ?
What i think its amazing....their planning is so well..& most of the structures looks impossible at that time...

I have a great appreciation for Mughal Architecture. It's a very powerful style in terms of order and form. Not the most practical of motifs, but I think it complements the urban context quite well.

though mughal architecture in its pure form is very effective and impressive yet I like its later version blended with British colonial architecture more in Indian sub continent.

hmmmm
when ever i think of Mughal architecture i get a picture of a perfect architecture of that time in all respects. which is excelent in form and order and still their structure are standing, showing that they were masters in this art and tells us about their ways and techniques of construction. pefectly designed for the environment of sub-continent, carefully sites selected for every project, brilience in all aspects.
But while feeling proud about that architecture in our region a question raise in my mind that why in mughal architecture everything was to please kings or royal family, all architectural monuments are royal architecture not a single building for ordinary citizon.
so
i m leaving a question here that why in mughal architecture we dont find any architecture for ordinary people?

MY friend but these places are also open for the locals for example the wasir khan hamam is used by the royal family and locals as well.....but in a sense ur question is valid like diwane khass & diwane aam ....... but u will find this every where that facility are for those who have money ...........
