We all know that ---Architecture is both the process and product of planning, Building and constructing form, space and ambience that reflect functional, technical, social, and aesthetic considerations. It requires the creative manipulation and coordination of material, technology, light and shadow. Architecture is not all about drawing, it is all about building.
GOOD Architecture principles:
1. Meeting requirements(Function)
2. Creativity (Form)
3. General Public/Architectural Critics (History)over and beyond expectation)
Architecture is not about style, It's about concepts and should be innovative. It's about deriving from a form from material technology, making a building an art form, being precise on how a building is built, in terms of interpretations of a concept.
I think we all know what good architecture is...by instinct and experience. If it looks good, feels good, works good, maintains good, sustains good, and protects us when mother nature moves well then, it's good!-Myarchnetwork
Sosinhö Del Sabroså, - Sorry i wasn't able to answer you back due to internet connectivity. Well, Architecture is a thing of art, a phenomenon of the emotions, lying outside questions of construction. The purpose of construction is to make things hold together of architecture to move us. Architectural emotion exists when the work rings within us in tune with a universe whose laws we obey, recognize and respect. Like the composition of the structure, composition of masses, and etc. Underlying all of these efforts is the assumption that striving towards and achieving order is the essence of architecture. Building, building building etc. etc. :)
Irgéorge Pecore Architecture is a healing process that begins with a set of contradictory facts and ends with a proper solution for all the problems of a specific place.
It used to be my life, my purpose, my creativity, my goal and the number one thing that I wanted to do in life, after coming back to Italy, it is nothing more than a JOB and an ugly, unrewarding, overly politicized, overly mobster governed, overly ugly and construction related, one.... Therefore what is architecture for me? A dream, the dream of leaving this ...................... country of mine to be able once more to create and be helpful!
How true..! ...maybe we can still have a few seconds to blame our respective countries, present state of affairs and whoever is in power for that, -for, at least over here, in Greece-this has thrown everything off balance... we dreamed a kind of paradise when we were young, lived most our lives in purgatory and time proved that its only exit is going to be just leading to hell..
as a designer working with the framework of an architects form, what is important is the human experience to enjoy the space and be comfortable in terms of harmony of design with environment.
Architecture is a multi-disciplinary field, by definition. But, as a multi-disciplinary field, our ideas have to be comprehensive; I think architects – at least those inclined to understand the multi-disciplinarity and the comprehensive nature of their field – have to visualize something that embraces all these political, economic, and social changes. As well as the technological. As well as the spatial.
I wrote some years back, architecture is a political act, by nature. It has to do with the relationships between people and how they decide to change their conditions of living. And architecture is a prime instrument of making that change – because it has to do with building the environment they live in, and the relationships that exist in that environment. - LEBBEUS WOODS
Rosa Maria Galimany Granés says, it's the way to do the life more easy to people, to bring the space created specially for us, for the use of people 13 minutes ago. Thanks Rosa! :)
Architecture is the only art where plagiarism is partially acceptable. It’s a known paradox… Yet such paradox cannot be applied to the literature about architecture. Architectural passion in which Form & Function are in an absolute harmony…
PEOPLE & ARCHITECTURE We never judge people by the exterior look only. We listen to their talks, we watch their behavior, we analyze their moral positions. Then why we judge architecture by the facades only? We don’t listen to the project’s atmosphere, we don’t watch building’s functional performance, we don’t analyze plans or details. And yet we judge…
