As I don't think I'm qualified to give an answer to such a question, I'll defer to a favorite author, Douglas Adams, and say Architecture is "Life, the Universe and Everything!"

Describing Architecture on my own words, simple words, I think I would say is "the crystallization of your Imagination"
because everything stars there and as Albert Einstein said once " Imagination is more important than knowledge".

“Architecture” is not merely the task of designing and constructing structures, done to provide purposeful shelter. It is the learning from surroundings and giving the best to things left unexplored. It is the understanding and realization of the trust and confidence bestowed on us by the clients. It is an Art and Science to create spaces which are functionally compatible and aesthetically pleasing.

In my opinion ARCHITECTURE is a feild in which we try to make a thing which is in equilibrium with its surroundings(people, nature,air ,water etc)
for example:- nature has a prefect architecture.(every thing in nature as a prefect balance).
we cannot achieve a perfect architecture but we CAN come near to nature.
that's ARCHITECTURE
