I typically model in Rhino and render in 3DS Max, but I personally haven't found any renderer that I'm satisfied with as a standalone. I almost always touch up in photoshop for the finished product. I'll be interested to hear what everyone else does. Cheers.
In my opinion Archicad 12 and then some re-touching with Photoshop CS5.
I think it depends what kind of presentation you are doing and what kind of costumers
you are working with.
Hi every one
I also use Archicad for 3d model and Artlantis for rendering.
I think that is a good choice
I will post some of my renders
:-)
its always kicks up any drawing if u club 2 or 3 softwares
it not only improves the presentations but most oftenly minimizing the file size too !
depend up on the time n scale of the project soft3wares like 3dMax, sketchup & photshop can do wonders .
there are plugins available which makes the presentations more appealing.
I use Auto CAD , PHOTOSHOP & 3D MAX mental ray and Vray etc..
me too,But check my reply to get t my message
I outsource my 3D work. If I have to model something, I can use Google Sketchup.
I think there isn't a "BEST" software. You can use the one that you can do you "BEST" with it.
for example:
A loy of people compared between Maya and 3ds Max as a CG programmes.I asked myself "which one will I use for my career?" and finally I found that a lot of people doing a great work with 3ds max (better than MAYA) also I found a lot of ones have a great work woth Maya.
So,Use what you can do the best with....
Nice piece of Advise thanks

i totally agree with you Salah.

there is no "best" software - i am working with rhino and maya - and i love the user interface and the ability to program in mel and in c++.

you have to find YOUR software - download trials - and test until you find the program which is suitable.

BUT - its not only the software - there are many plugins (renderengines...) - the price should be considered as well... start with blender - its free - and if you google around - in the right hands its compareable with maya, max and all other professional tools around!
