I've been using it for the last six months or so and it has turned out to be a very powerful rendering tool. There are a lot of capabilities that I haven't even gotten into yet but there are two main areas that the plug-in addresses.
The first are tools that help produce high quality photorealistic renderings by working right in Sketchup with existing textures, allowing you to tweek their characteristics, and lots of features that allow you to play with lighting environments and backgrounds.
The second set of tools relate to the creation and application of artificial light sources into your Sketchup model. I'm just getting into playing around with these features but so far they are very intuitive tools and the options and features make them very easy to manipulate and apply.
I have had a couple of projects so far that I've been able to utilize Shaderlight on and I've gotten great results and the feedback from the clients has been very positive.
