Frigerio Design Group won the invitational competition held by Terna to design the architecture of their new power station. Terna will build the compact, technologically innovative station on the Isle of Capri to enable a direct connection to the National Transmission Grid through an underwater power line.
The project poses an exceptional challenge both for its technical requirements and for its impact on the landscape and environment.FDG’s winning project interprets the environment by having the facility relate with its surroundings through its architectural personality and quality. It gives a contemporary feel to the extraordinary features of the site.
