Deep wells in Gliwice

A task to design a team of technical objects (deep wells) was a real challenge for us and an inspiration to design them in unusual way. In relation to the character of the landscape (suburban location) the facilities were designed in irregular shapes referring to natural forms of rocks and boulders scattered across the green landscape. The irregular shape of the "stone" blocks could be obtained by appropriate “sculpturing” of the surfaces that intentionally weren’t designed as classic walls and roofs. The objects are covered with a steel cladding in silver-gray colour. Maneuvering areas located around the wells in the form of colored stripes that begin at the gate and go towards the building were arranged as a coherent element of architectural composition s the buildings.
