"In addition to using fewer resources than creating virgin paper, recycling also reduces landfill waste, which is a huge positive.  Of course, even better than recycling paper is using less paper in general.  Reduce - Reuse - Recycle."

"I have read that evacuated tubes are more efficient in most cases, and so I would argue that would be the deciding factor, but in warmer climates it tends to be a wash."

"Turn off and unplug what is not in use.  Also, keep refrigerators somewhat full, and don't use the "dry" setting on dishwashers - just open them to air dry."
