Yep, another treehouse.  I always wanted one as a kid, but it just wasn’t possible.  Now I delight in the adult twists on treehouses designed by contemporary architects.

The Banyon Drive Treehouse is perched twelve feet off the ground at the base of a large pine tree in the backyard of a residence in a canyon.  It was designed by the California based firm Rockefeller Partners Architects.  The client is an artist and a nature lover, and the 170 square foot treehouse is part studio/office, part scenic retreat.  In addition, the efficient plan includes a living area and bathroom.
