(Hm, I wonder how many more block/blok buildings I can find . . . ?)

In the Revitalization District of East 11th Street in Austin, Texas stands Block 19, a beautiful mixed-use structure by Bercy Chen Studio. Block 19 holds spaces for eleven retail stores and offices, twenty residential condominiums, and roof top decks that are accessible to all residents. Instead of relying on expensive and high-maintenance green "gadgets" to receive its 3-Star Green Building Rating, Block 19 incorporates sustainability into the fundamentals of the building's design. Above the glass facade ground level, the south and west facades are shielded from the hot sun with steel panel screens which double as a shading devices and as guardrails for the balconies. Two green roof are located on the fourth floor. Also incorporated are insulated Low-E glazing, recycled and recyclable materials, no VOC paint, R-19 insulated walls, R-30 insulated roof, passive insect
control, construction waste recycling, and low impact native landscaping.
