Centre Pompidou-Metz
This architectural project is the result of a winning competition bid by Shigeru Ban Architects for the centerpiece of a revitalization plan for a 50 hectare site that was converted from an old freight railway. The tensile roof structure is composed of laminated timber and covered by translucent fiberglass and teflon. The architecture contains several large galleries and an auditorium and a studio theater. The museum is intended to hold films, lectures and temporary exhibitions all year round as well as live performances.

Arup Engineers has their own proprietary software that they used to develop technical documents for the roof.

rien a dire ... parfait ... une question cependant me trotte dans la tête ... avec quel logiciel il a fait cela, modélisation 2d 3d et calcul?

Excelent. One of my own philosophy is the "The Law of the Natural". and not the Natural Law (it isn´t the same) This is not about "organisims"o similars, but what the nature does all the time just in front of us. Always cover, always, like the sky. Due this, at the same time something is covered inmediatly. So the result going to be an interface, it´s means The Space Inside both. Maybe it sounds like bla bla but it isn´t. There are not other natural interface but the space between cover and the covered (ground or just the earth). Other kind of interface will be artifitial, made by the men. That´s why, this proyect shows how it´s works, how the cover show itself, therefore where is the Cover and where is the covered. Congratulation.
