Cocoon

Cocoon, designed by Camenzind Evolution for Swiss Life, is an exclusive office building in Zurich, Switzerland. It is nestled among trees on a hillside overlooking Zurich Lake and the mountains on the horizon. The atrium that is the heart of Cocoon greets employees with an inviting swirl, then opens wider as it spirals upward, drawing in more light as it ascends. Externally, this widening ascension creates a dynamic building-sculpture. A fine stainless steel mesh enshrouds the facade, veiling the particulars of the interior during the day, and allowing light to shine through at night.
