Cradle

Entitled “Cradle,” this rocking chair is a semi-spherical work of art that temps you to escape into it.  It is a design by Richard Clarkson, a third year Industrial Design Student at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.  The chair’s aim is to create a relaxing and safe environment in which the daily overstimulation of one’s senses dissipates.  I believe Clarkson succeeded.  I can easily imagine escaping into it at the end of a long, arduous day.  Can’t you?
