This spaceship-shaped little dwelling is called Domespace and is a design by the company Solaleya.  Its proportions are designed by using the Golden Number (1,618) for an enhanced feeling of well-being, and for increased structural strength.  (It has proven to resist wind damage up to 240 kilometers per hour.) It is made from natural and renewable resources such as FSC certified wood, recycled steel, cork beads, and engineered compressed straw.  And, the best part, in my opinion, is that the home rotates a complete 360 degrees.  Obviously, that means you can change your view at will, but it also allows you to turn away from the sun in the summer and toward it in the winter, reducing energy consumption.
