The new Dublin National Conference Centre officially opened on September 7th and is an eye-catching landmark designed by the firm KRJDA Architects. Its glass-fronted atrium runs the full height of the building, giving visitors sweeping views of the river, city and mountains. Inside, it features a 2,000 seat auditorium, two 450 seat multi-media halls, and conference banqueting halls that seat up to 2,000. It also includes an array of flexibly designed rooms for exhibitions, meetings, and lectures. The structure was built using 6,000 tons of low-carbon concrete and is designed in compliance with the new IOC 14001 environmental standard.
