The corner building with the amber entrance is the first portion to be completed of the enormous mixed-use urban planning project Emporia.  The complex, located in Hyllie in, Malmö, Sweden is the winning competition entry from Wingårdhs.  The entrance is the only portion that will remain visible from the street once the remaining structures are built, so it needed to be eye-catching and inviting to draw visitors inside.  The interior is organized around a three-story figure-eight, with shops grouped around boldly colored atriums.  The rooftop is a park planted with sedum, prairie grass, and trees with wind-sheltered patios.  Eventually outdoor dining and a spa will be added to the there.  The bright colors from the interior are revisited on the building's north side in the 2,500-vehicle rainbow parking garage.
