Architecture Linked - Architect & Architectural Social Network

An installation curated by Brooke Hodge and Alma Ruiz. Composed of 3604 lengths of twine totaling 21 miles. This piece was made possible by a specialized machine and custom software developed by Ball-Nogues Studio specifically for this project. I won't go further into the technical aspects of this project because I believe it can distract one from the beauty and elegance of the piece itself. I am continually amazed how technical instruments are being developed that allow designers to realize true poetry in space. Something that would have seemed inherently contradictory not many years ago. Watch the video, absorb the images and if you happen to visit the MOCA in Los Angeles in the next month, experience the space.
