Finca Bellavista is a residential treehouse community that sits on over 300 acres of rainforest mountain in Costa Rica. The community’s energy needs are “off-grid” and are currently solar powered, with hydro-power planned in the future. While Bellevista’s “base camp” has a large kitchen and dining hall, a rancho, a bath house and a WIFI zone, the nearest town is 1.5 miles away with a tiny local population. Closer neighbors include indigenous families and local farmers. All the buildings are anchored to the trees or are perched on stilts in an effort to minimize interference with crucial land migrations.
If you’re interested, they still have a few pre-infrastructure parcels for sale, beginning at $55,000.
