"All we are saying is give peace a chance!"This installation was created in 2009 by artist
Linda Covit and Groupe Cardinal Hardy’s landscape architect
Marie-Claude Séguin.
"Give Peace a Chance" was commisioned by the City of Montreal in Quebec, Canada. Located in Mount Royal Park, which was originally conceived by Frederick Law Olmstead, it commemorates the 1969 bed-in there by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The crescent shaped path is made of approximately 180 St. Marc limestone slabs. The phrase "give peace a chance" is written in relief on the slabs in forty languages. The work is completed by moss and ferns.
