Henderson Waves is a 274 meter long pedestrian bridge that crosses Henderson Road at the Mount Faber Loop in Singapore. The beautiful design has been presented with six awards, and was a joint venture by London-based
IJP Corporation and
RSP Architects Planners & Engineers. The bridge's folded, three dimensional surface was created with a mathematical equation. The resulting shape has nine waves that are divided into thirty-seven sections of varying height, bend and slope, and which provide shelter and scenic views for pedestrians and cyclists. In addition, the bridge is covered with Malaysian-sourced sustainable tropical hardwood.
