Designed for exhibition at the 2007 FuoriSalone, this conceptual project proposes a new House of Human Rights within Milan. The concept was created by Wilkinson Eyre Architects in collaboration with Amnesty International, who will be included among the non-governmental agencies within the proposed space. The design takes a critical look at the idea of boundaries, specifically the idea of inclusion. Boundaries between public and private spaces are deliberately blurred and allowed to fuse and intersect. The communication of information is also a central theme, with LED technologies being integrated into the building to transform it into a powerful information transmitting medium. The facilities inside include offices, gallery areas, an auditorium and a cafe.
