This elegant wedge by C.F.Møller Architects, is designed to rely 100% on renewable energy. Situated prominently between Aalborg's bridges, Housing+ holds 60 residential units and shelters a public gazebo and cafe. It rises from the waters of the Limfjord to a height of 12 storeys, with a total of 7,400 square meters, and is built to passive-house standards. The south-facing sloping roof utilizes solar heating, and is covered completely in solar panels. The 1,200 meter solar array generates enough power to cover 104,400 Kwh annually, 1,740 annually per unit. In addition, four low-noise wind turbines generate any additional power needs, including the recharging of electric cars.

Addressing 100% renewaqble energy and still maintaining a unique and usable form. WOW We have the responsibility to create works of art like this, visually intriguing, self supporting, and still have places to live in..............When are people, who are spending money on architecture, going to realize that we HAVE to come up with concepts like this, and it doesn't even look like that it should cost that much
