Iriis - A House For Mother

I was forwarded this project by one of our followers on twitter. It's a great little house by a practice called Welab. The mother of the family is going blind and so this house is in many respects a gesture toward her. The family desires for her to enjoy the rest of her eyesight in a place of beauty and peace. The design of the house is a beautiful blend of exterior space and exterior views of the landscape. A more fundamental point to make here is that the most substantial architecture is brought about as a result of meaningful personal relationships.
