Jeju Island Resort is designed to appear as just another landform, forming a continuous green landscape throughout the hotel and linking to a beachfront forest.  Jeju Island, located in South Korea, is a major holiday destination for South Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese.  The resort design by Laboratory for Visionary Architecture (LAVA) contains 2,000 rooms, plus internal courtyards and atrium spaces.  It also offers retail and dining spaces, a movie theatre, an aquarium, a waterfront promenade, and a marina.  The terraced façade, together with the atrium spaces, create a continuous green landscape that wraps seamlessly around both exterior and interior, blending the resort into its surroundings.
