Nope, that's not the name of a new Dr. Seuss character, it's the name of a
sustainable building material that could change the lumber industry forever - it's lumber made from bamboo.

To make the Lumboo, the poles of bamboo are shredded and then arranged into a matrix for maximum strength and structural integrity. Then it's strengthened and held together by a low VOC resin and then pressed hydraulically with several hundred thousand pounds of force. Finally, it's milled and sanded into a finished product. WeatherGuard stains are also available for it in natural, mahogany, light cedar, and dark oak. Bamboo-colored screws are also available.
