Marine Parade Apartments

This project by Smart Studio Architects embodies perfectly the profession of architecture. This building, once a derelict apartment building has been transformed into four elegant, full-floor apartments with breathtaking views of the Australian coast. This building also incorporates sustainable building practices including natural cross ventilation as well as passive solar techniques. The most interesting formal aspect of the design is the use of a curved shading apparatus that seems to impose a curved form on an otherwise rectilinear structure.
