Palm’s House by AIA/LA firm of the year Daly Genik is a skilled renovation of a standard lot with a main house, courtyard, and detached garage in Venice, California.  The clients are a young couple who wanted accommodations built for parents to visit frequently from the east coast, and who wanted something more than the existing disheartening stucco boxes for their home.  By creating a new envelope for each structure and renovating the interiors, the existing structures are transformed into welcoming homes with increased privacy and a beautiful shared courtyard.

Palm’s House won Best Overall Project in the Zerofootprint Re-Skinning Awards in October, and was recognized with an American Architecture Award in November.
