Tired of the daily grind? Of endless deadlines and tight schedules? Tiago Barros proposes a piece of floating architecture that leaves our earth-bound schedules behind.
The Passing Cloud is an environmentally friendly method of transportation comprised of a series of spherical balloons that form a cloud shape. Its inner stainless steel structure is covered with heavy weight tensile nylon fabric. It’s propelled along by the prevailing winds, which means that no wind blows against passengers on the trip, giving them the sensation of floating.
The act of traveling is reconsidered, becoming enjoyable instead of a necessary evil. The journey becomes the destination.
