The Regatta Hotel complex was designed by Atelier Enam Architects and Planners and sits on eleven hectares of reclaimed land overlooking the Java Sea.  Italian for “boat race,” Regatta is comprised of ten apartment towers (the boats), a large sleek 5-star hotel (the lighthouse), and a water park, all arranged in a form representing a compass.  Each of the ten towers is named after major port cities around the world, and each is oriented in the cardinal direction of their corresponding city.

Regatta's construction is three-phase.   First was the erection of four of the apartment towers: Dubai, Monte Carlo, Miami and Rio de Janeiro.   The second phase adds Tokyo, Acapulco, Sydney, and the 2.4 hectare water park.  The third and final phase tops the project off with the last three apartment towers (London, New York and Shanghai), plus the architecturally iconic hotel.
