Sunwell Muse Kitasando is the office building and showroom for a textile planning and trading company.  Since the company had been focusing on female apparel, the architecture by Takato Tamagami Architectural Design and Tsutomu Hasegawa is a metaphor of female beauty.

The building is located on a corner near the fashionable “Harajuku” part of the city.  The curved opening in the façade serves as a shortcut between the two streets that also draws visitors into the building, toward the event hall in the basement and the showrooms on the first and second floors.  The passage is framed by sinuous wooden walls, and the theme of curves continues throughout the building’s interior.
