Frustrated with the current Chinatown, which it considers boring, redundant, out-of-date, and lifeless, Bejing-based architecture design firm MAD Ltd. has proposed an enlivening solution.  Superstar: A Mobile China Town houses 15,000 residents and claims to be self-sustaining: it produces its own energy needs, grows its own food, and recycles all its waste.  It contains indigenous Chinese flora and fauna, drinkable reservoirs, health resorts, sports facilities, and even a digital cemetery.  Beyond that, Superstar has the ability to end up anywhere – in any town and any country – either as a visitor or as a permanent fixture.
