I have a personal interest in libraries. One of the main reasons for this is that they are changing very rapidly as our information systems evolve. Libraries are also expanding the scope of their service to provide more than just storage of information, but also the creation and cultivation of information systems. I believe that libraries and physical books will continue to exist for the foreseeable future in some form or another, and as they evolve I believe you will see various remnants of their historical context embedded within them. This library by Zaubersc ho[e]n is a great example, not only of thought provoking design, but also of accepting the simultaneity of history and progress in architecture.
