Henning Larsen Architects has another visually stunning project design: The Wave. The design won first prize in the competition held by the municipality of Vejle in Denmark. It is inspired by the surrounding characteristics: the fjord, the bridge, the town and the hills. It's a residential structure consisting of 140 two story units, all with beautiful views. The Wave overlooks the promenade and the bay, with its white waves reflected in the sea by day. At night, its profile appears to be illuminated multi-colored mountains. It will become an elegant landmark that connects with the landscape, the sea, and the town.

Two "waves" have been completed, but there are no signs that the other three are under construction. Does anyone know what happened? Is construction done, or just on hold?
