Erected in the heart of Montréal 's historical district, Tisse Métis Égal is a contemporary installation that acts as a brightly colored filter to transform the perception of the surrounding environment.  The walls are perforated with scattered triangle patterns that are deliberately evocative of traditional weaving, drawing a striking parallel with Québec’s past.  Inside, visitors are immersed in a play of shadow and light which shaped their understanding of both the work itself and the surrounding landscape.  Tisse Métis Égal was created by design collective PLUX.5 for the event Métis-sur-Montréal.  It is a tribute to Québec history, interpreting its traditions through a contemporary lens.
