My inner child is delighted at the thought of not only having a tree
house, but also a tree
hotel when I'm away on an adventure.
Located in the Boreal forest in the village of Harads in Sweden, approximately 60 km south of the Arctic Circle,
Treehotel opens this Saturday, 17 July 2010. Four rooms are already completed, and the plan is for a total of 24 rooms to be build over a period of five years, each
designed by Sweden's finest
architects. The completed rooms are the Birds Nest, the Blue Cone, the Cabin, and - my personal favorite - the Mirrorcube. The UFO and A Room With A View will be completed in October, and there is also even a Tree Sauna for guests to use.
