Designed for Zracna Luka Zagreb of
Zagreb Airport in Croatia, the
new passenger terminal and masterplan airport city by
Zaha Hadid Architects aims to successfully combine national aspirations, regional development, the flow of passengers, and technical/operational requirements. The fluid grid
design is meant to allow for easy and beautiful future expansion. It is also designed to blur the lines between floor, wall, and ceiling, as well as between building and landscape. The structure integrates plenty of natural light, easy access points, good ventilation, clear signs, and plenty beautiful views. In addition, Zaha Hadid Architects applied many of the recommendations of the UK BREEAM environmental assessment method in their approach.
